Okay! I've been doing a lot of sci-fi oriented stuff at work and frankly I need a change. I do not know what the future holds but I thought I should expand my artistic mindset and grow. Thus, I am starting this personal project. Whether it be a portfolio piece or something I can expand and develop into something more...that I do not know. But I do know that nothing moves forward without a first step. So, this is my first step. Gulp! From here on out I will post whatever I can and see what happens. Wish me luck and please write me back with any suggestions comments or whatever you so deem that could help me in this venture.
So, here goes... I am creating a story inspired from Alice in Wonderland. I know that I am more of a visual person as appose to a oral and literal one. Thus, I brainstorm with painterly visions.. or so I hope. Lemme know what you think.. I will post up some WIPs and whatever I have soon...
thanks again!

ATHUL...the death bringer

Hey y'all... I'm doing this character for my friend Fabian to do a kick-ass model (you can see his work on another concept I did in Zbrushcentral.com). The idea is a character with a monk-link persona but with the goal of bringing death to those for their salvation. He severed his arm to bond with his new blade/hook arm to enhance his death bringer calling. Please lemme know if you have any comments or suggestions.. it's a work-in-progress... so any advance would be appreciated... thanks!

on-site Sargent study on the DS

One thing I love about the Gameboy DS is it's portability... so why not bring it to a museum! I had such a thrill doing this Sargent study in front of the ACTUAL painting... can you imagine! WOW! The actual non-reproduced colors, texture, and brushstrokes are there right in front of me...woah! So, I did this study of the hand in Sargent's Dr. Pozzi at Home in the Hammer Museum. I think I'll do more. I'm gonna post this in the Color Gallery if you wanna see the step-by-step of this painting....lates!

ARM!.. a bit off topic but...it's for a good cause!
Hey...A costume party will be held at the Vanguard in LA and to benefit the research for a non profit organization called ARM http://www.hibm.org/arm/. ARM funds research for a rare debilitating muscle disease called HIBM. ARM is developing the first steps towards a treatment but needs funding to move forward. Go there or at Mindy Lee's blog for more info... I can't go unfortunately but it looks like fun!

from my DS lite...

Got a new toy!... sort of... it all started when I was "forced" by Mindy to buy this card that can house this painting program on the Nintendo DS. It's sooo cool! These are my first tries... did about 5min of Photoshop clean up but not much! t's fast and easy to carry with you anywhere. Afterall, it's a DS...Enjoy!
